The location is beautiful and peaceful. An ideal place to relax and enjoy the wonderful Galloway forest. Already thinking of going back.

Galloway seems a much undervisited part of Scotland - it has a huge amount to offer, especially for people interested in birds and nature. There is far too much to do in one week - we've stayed there twice and will go there again!

This was our third holiday at Queenshill Country Cottages. The cottage is beautiful, as are the surroundings. We see this as our idyllic retreat and will continue to visit this lovely, peaceful haven for many years to come!

A really quiet and peaceful place to holiday, with some excellent walks to take a dog on the estate grounds - we saw both wild deer and a Red Kite whilst walking the estate. The local amenities were very good and the staff were exeptionally helpful, and even directed us to a fantastic local beach which allowed dogs to run free where we took some stunning photographs. We will be returning to get to some of the sights/places we ran out of time to visit!
